Description
Left: Classic Sonic
Middle: "Teenage" Sonic (Mix of the two)
Right: Modern Sonic
So, recently I've been fascinated with the idea of morphing two very different character designs together and making a chart based on their "in between forms", I tried to do this for Pokemon initially, but it didn't work out so well, so I thought I'd start out with something similar. A character whose two forms already look close enough to each other.
What's so perfect about Sonic the Hedgehog is that the fanbase goes into trivial and meaningless debates over Sonic's character design and what he looks like in-game. People high on nostalgia will always claim that the early Genesis era was Sonic's golden days and that he hasn't been any good since then, even though Sonic Adventure (which debuted his modern design) was a fairly decent game too.
Sonic Generations had a good idea by bringing the two seperate generations together, but why don't we go a step further? There are rumours that SEGA plans on rebooting Sonic. Why not literally mix the two together? Take the best aspects of both character designs and respective gameplay mechanics and turn them into a single game. I'd personally be all for that idea. A "teenage" Sonic, if you will.
If fans are still divided after that kind of change, then I just don't know what to say. XD
